We take care of our techs.
Our techs are the backbone of this business and we’ve built this business to be the best place to work and grow for our techs.
- You get 2 lifts minimum
- Our average billed hours per ticket is 4 – So technically you only work on 2 cars per day to produce 40 units
- Our digital inspections are paid, we don’t short you on oil change times, we bump book times by a minimum of 30%, and there’s no warranty work
- Our shop closes at 4pm so if your on track for your weekly goal, leave!
- Snacks, we provide snacks.
How much will I make?
Our techs work on a pay plan that’s individually and team bonused based on production. We even have a GP% bonus so you share the winnings with the sales team.
The sky is the limit! Your pay goes up the more units produced so if you feel like kicking ass this week – kick ass.
Our tech pay plan pays between $60k-$160k per year based on skill level and production. We have a clear path for advancement and can grow you to the next level.
Want a career with cars? Great, we do too! We take a limited number of tech apprentices on and give you a clear path of advancement to make it as far as you’re willing to go…..even to owning a location one day if that’s your dream.

You’re right in the middle of all the fun – Customers on one side and your tech team on the other – Both needing you to master our sales process. Do I need to know about cars?
No! Geez I’d almost prefer you don’t! We’ve had the most success with this position by hiring someone passionate about sales and customer service but the car knowledge we can teach easily. Some car knowledge is definitely a good thing but its not a requirement for this position.
What’s a service advisor do?
Your job is to educate our customers about the needs of their cars. Our company believes and teaches preventative maintenance. We know the absolute best way to maintain a car affordably and keep our customers happy is to do maintenance preventatively vs. costly repairs when it breaks. You’re a relationship ninja who works along side our customers to make a smart & educated decision.
How much will I make?
Like all of our positions at OMS you’re on a production based pay plan so the better you do the better your paid. Our service team works on a team plan so you’re all working towards a common goal. Earnings can range between $60,000-$140,000 for this position depending on how awesome you do!

Parts Ninja is responsible for ordering everything, estimating everything, and returning anything not needed. You have the capability to make every job run smoothly and you have the capability to make every job turn into a shitshow – so it’s important you care about quality and have a decent attention to detail.
Experience is cool but really all we need is passion and some basic computer skills. We’ll teach you everything you need to succeed here but you’ve got to be ready to commit to learning the right way. Any employee that’s ever lasted here has made their position irreplaceable – filling a position doesn’t happen here, taking a position to the next level is mandatory.

The concierge is support for the front sales team. You hustle to get cars to the shop for us to work on while making it as convenient as possible for our customers. You’re the shuttle, backup on the phones, loaner car manager, and pick up and delivery specialist.
This is an excellent position for you if you’re just starting out and want to advance to another position.

The automotive business is a bit chaotic and we need your sense of organization to balance out our team and manage everything behind the scenes.
The Bookkeeper/Admin does everything that involves paper, money, HR, bills, and tech stuff. Its a pretty demanding job that requires insane attention to detail and drive. Its very flexible for schedule and has the ability for some of the job to be done remotely.
You get a private office with as many organization tools as you need. We require precision from you but give you the freedom to work how you need to work.
The work required for this position is part time and we are extremely flexible with hours worked and days off. We’ll be expanding soon so there’s no limit to the work we need from you and your department will grow as our company does – advancement opportunities encouraged.

Job Description
In a small business there’s no limit to what we need to do for the company and each other but here’s a rough guide to the responsibilities of this position –
- Manage Banking
- Mobile deposit checks
- Deposit cash at the Bank
- Pay invoices not on autopay
- Manage petty cash
- Manage merchant services accounts/update annual compliance requirements
- Manage check writing
- Print checks to vendors other than weekly vendor accounts from Quickbooks
- Track outstanding checks
- Prepare and process payroll checks
- Quickbooks
- Work with our accountant/bookeeper to reconcile accounts
- Organize filing
- File vendor invoices
- Keep account login/passwords information up to date
- Handle tax documents and follow-up
- Pay state sales taxes monthly
- Oversee all outstanding taxes due
- Annual battery sales tax payment
- Oversee tax audits
- Monthly, weekly, daily financial reporting
- Update and report spreadsheet of operating costs (OMS Financial Guide)
- Update and report weekly vendor spreadsheet (Big inv, supplies and vendors)
- Update Payroll/Portal numbers every Monday from the previous week on spreadsheet
- Budget
- Refer to operating cost spreadsheet
- Research cost cutting/best deals for shop
- Note annual shop rent increases per rental agreement
- Process payroll
- Track vacation/PTO, update as anniversaries occur (see employee handbook)
- Update health insurance amounts, if needed
- Distribute 401K funds
- File EFAST forms as required.
- Prepare and distribute W2s, by required date in January of each year
- Print New Hire Packet when employees are hired
- Includes punch card etc.
- Enter New Hire Information on EDD website, Form CA DE34 with in 20 days from hire date
- Misc
- Process DMV vehicle registrations on time, if smog is required notify parts manager
- Review contracts/equipment leases
- Track and maintain office supplies
- Open and distribute mail
- Contact Asbury for oil recycle when needed
- Manage/plan company events
- Office organization and improvements

We tend to do this stuff quietly but we’re huge into helping people and the community. Here’s a few things we’ve done that we feel good about
- First date – phone interview – We spend 15 minutes on the phone or zoom to introduce each other
- Shop Visit – You visit the shop during business hours. You interview the team, they interview you. This is best if it’s in the morning so you can sit in on our morning meeting and see how we start our days
- Sometimes we will do a working interview where we’ll pay you for a half day or day to work on cars with us, We have certain standards we need met and I’m sure you do too
- Sit down interview with Neil – We talk numbers, We make you an offer if it’s appropriate. If it’s not right for either of us – we stay in contact – you never know what’ll happen in the future!
- We send a tow truck to pick up your Tool Box and all of your stuff
- You are assigned reading the OMS Guide to Victory and The Energy Bus before starting
- We immediately order your new custom uniforms (typically no longer than 2 weeks which you’ll most likely be spending at your previous job and we have nice new loaner uniforms if needed)
- We schedule on boarding – We spend a minimum of one day setting you up with your logins, equipment, and tools. Neil and you sit down to review the OMS Guide to Victory and discuss the fundamentals of our company
- We have our first “Path to Success” meeting where we discuss what your path looks like and what to work on first – part of this is scheduling training for the year
