Do I need to know about cars?
No! Geez I'd almost prefer you don't! We've had the most success with this position by hiring someone passionate about sales and customer service but the car knowledge we can teach easily. Some car knowledge is definitely a good thing but its not a requirement for this position.
What's a service advisor do?
Your job is to educate our customers about the needs of their cars. Our company believes and teaches preventative maintenance. We know the absolute best way to maintain a car affordably and keep our customers happy is to do maintenance preventatively vs. costly repairs when it breaks. You're a relationship ninja who works along side our customers to make a smart & educated decision.
How much will I make?
Like all of our positions at OMS you're on a production based pay plan so the better you do the better your paid. Our service team works on a team plan so you're all working towards a common goal. Earnings can range between $60,000-$140,000 for this position depending on how awesome you do!
